| Bar Admission Called to the Barreau du Québec, 1988 Jean-Pierre joined the BCF team as a partner in October 2002. He has more than 15 years of experience in commercial law and securities law. Before joining BCF, Jean-Pierre practised with two Canadian national law firms. In the field of securities law, he advises clients in connection with various transactions including initial public offerings, plans of arrangement, "Dutch" auctions, rights offerings, stock option plans and private placements, as well as corporate governance and disclosure issues. Jean-Pierre has special expertise in mutual funds. He is also actively involved in corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and the drafting of shareholder agreements. OTHER FUNCTIONS Since winter 2002, Jean-Pierre has taught commercial law courses at the École du Barreau du Québec (Québec Bar School). He is also active on the BCF Training Committee, which is responsible for the coordination of all training offered to the members of the firm. Jean-Pierre is a member of the board of directors and secretary of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Québec Division). |
