| Bar Admission Called to the Barreau du Québec, 2002 Brigitte Nepveu holds a bachelor's degree in law and a bachelor's in genetic biology. She specializes in biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry and clinical research. Between 1998 and 2001, she worked as a research assistant for Professor Bartha Maria Knoppers at the Public Law Research Centre (CRDP) at Université de Montréal and academic secretary of Réseau de Médecine Génétique Appliquée for Fonds de la Recherche en Santé. In 2002, Brigitte began her career as a lawyer at BCF in business law and intellectual property. Recently, she was recruited by Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montréal (CHUM) as legal advisor to the Research and Ethics Committee. She also teaches an intellectual property course to master's degree students at Université de Montréal. A recipient of several bursaries and awards, she has also distinguished herself for her excellence in law and bioethics and her contribution to social and legal life. |
