Bob Renbarger has over twenty years experience in representing clients in civil and administrative law matters. His practice encompasses a range of areas including environmental law, water law and civil litigation. He frequently appears before state and federal agencies, civil courts and the Texas legislature in furtherance of his clients' business and legal objectives. Recent Experience and Accomplishments Successfully defended an underground storage tank company in an administrative enforcement action with a resulting 95% reduction in administrative penalties. Obtained a district court judgment affirming the issuance of a municipal solid waste permit. Represented carbon black manufacturer in avoiding full RCRA investigation and closures of historical waste disposal sites at facility.||Defended asbestos abatement firm in multi-million dollar claim with resulting settlement for less than insurance policy limits. Obtained air permits for waste incinerator business without necessity of costly contested case hearings. Appointed by state environmental agency to serve as special master in dissolution of county-wide water and sewer utility and redistribution of assets into functional utilities. Continuous service as environmental counsel at major port authority for over ten years. Successfully served as appellate counsel in municipal, industrial and hazardous waste permitting appeals. Approved by bankruptcy trustee as special counsel to perform regulatory transactions in sale, acquisition, transfer and refinancing of multi-county water utility. Defended numerous firms, business entities and individuals in environmental enforcement matters. Negotiated favorable settlements for responsible parties in both state and federal Superfund cases.
