Benjamin J. Berger has been an associate at Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, P.C. since 2002. Mr. Berger's practice areas include construction law, professional defense and product liability. This includes the representation of architects, engineers and physicians in an array of litigation and contract matters. Mr. Berger is currently the co-chair of the Construction Section of the Connecticut Bar Association's Young Lawyers Committee, and has been a participant in the Hartford College Construction Institute. Mr. Berger is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. Mr. Berger obtained his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 2002. He graduated with honors in his Concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. While at Boston University, Mr. Berger was a member of the Law School Assembly and Vice President of the Public Interest Project. He was also a semi-finalist in the ABA Client Counseling Competition and a participant in the Stone Moot Court. While in Boston, Mr. Berger was a participant in the Criminal Practice Clinic in the Boston Municipal Court. Mr. Berger received a B.A from Franklin & Marshall College in 1999. He earned recognition through acceptance to the Phi Alpha Theta International History Society and as Class Secretary/Treasurer in 1996 and 1997.
