Law Practice Claudia Losie practices in the areas of corporate finance and securities, corporate/commercial, natural resources and technology law. Her clients include private and publicly traded companies in the technology, biotechnology, software applications, medical, and natural resource (mining, oil and gas) sectors. In representing these clients, Ms. Losie advises on a broad range of matters including initial public offerings, public and private equity and debt financings, listing on stock exchanges, mergers and acquisitions, reverse takeovers, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, and capital alterations, as well as continuous disclosure, corporate governance, directors' and officers' liability, proxy contexts, and takeover defense mechanisms.

Professional and Other Activities Ms. Losie was the Chair of the Business Law Section of the Vancouver Branch of the Canadian Bar Association from 1995 to 1996. For the past ten years, Ms. Losie has served as co-ordinator and lecturer for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia seminar for securities legal support staff and junior lawyers. She has also participated in a number of other CLE or Insight seminars on securities matters and director's duties and liabilities.
