Bertrand Giroux has joined BCF in 1995, and he has been one of the partners of the Litigation Group since then. He is a graduate from Université de Sherbrooke.
For the past years, Bertrand has been in charge of significant lawsuits and restructuring operations, as the restructuring of Groupe les Ailes de la Mode, and more recently, the Groupe Bikini Village Inc. one. He has also defended creditors? rights before the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada in the insolvency procedures concerning Inter-Canadien. Recently, he acted as amicus curiae before the Superior Court in the liquidation of the mutual funds Norbourg and Évolution.
Bertrand is a member of the Liaison Committee with the Superior Court (Commercial Division). He is also a member of the Reading Committee of the National Creditor Debtor Review, a Butterworks publication in the bankruptcy and insolvency fields. |
