Details:
I studied law at the Schools of Law of the University in Athens (LLB, honors: Summa cum laude) and Hamburg (JD, honors: summa cum laude). As a postgraduate student I was appointed assistant  of Professor  H. Würdinger (Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Hamburg).
I have been practising law as an advocate in Athens since 1962. I acted as legal adviser of the JOHN S. LATSIS Group of Companies (1965-1975) and of the Public Petroleum Corporation (PPC) of Greece (1975-1981) on behalf of which I prepared together with the Legal Adviser of the Minister of Energy the standard forms of Licence Agreements and Production Sharing Agreements to be used by the Greek State and PPC for contracts entered into with other parties for hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation operations. I was in charge of the legal aspects of the negotiations  concerning such agreements and also drafted contracts with firms performing related services (drilling, tug services etc.).
My law firm is engaged in a general business practice, including corporate law, commercial contracts, maritime and transport law, industrial property, real property, bankruptcy and international litigation. The firm represents mainly foreign clients and the undersigned and the other lawyers of the firm have an experience of many years in co-operating with foreign law firms and foreign clients. We correspond in English, French and German and represent foreign clients not only in the courts of the Athens/Piraeus area but also in courts elsewhere in Greece in co-operation with local  correspondents.
I am also specialized in maritime and transport law and matters concerning hull and cargo underwriters, transport liability insurers and forwarders, on foreign companies doing business in Greece (establishing affiliates, negotiating joint ventures, commercial contracts and acquisition of real property, collecting receivables, participating in bankruptcy procedures) and on advising prospective investors in relation to protection granted to foreign investments in Greece.
The above matters include litigation in Greek courts and enforcement of Greek and foreign judgments and awards.
I have been involved in drafting new legislation as a member of Government Committees, in particular in drafting a new Commercial Code and preparing a revision of the Maritime Code for Greece.
 - Member of the Greek Maritime Law Association (the Greek branch of the "CMI" - the International Maritime Committee) and past President of the Association and Executive Councillor of the CMI from 1997 to 2000.
- Member of the Hellenic Society of Maritime Lawyers,
- Member of the Greek Association of Commercial Lawyers and
- Member of the German Society of Comparative Law.
