Having acquired experience in business restructuring and workouts, He draws his expertise in the fields, amongst others, of sureties, litigation and insolvency. Apart from representing financial institutions, suppliers and investors he primarily represents business dealing with high risks situations. Before pursuing his career as partner at BCF, he acted as legal counsel with the National Bank of Canada and GMAC. He's the author and collaborator to several books and articles on restructuring, insolvency and credit.

In addition to being a guest lecturer on restructuring at UQAM's MBA program, he teaches securities at the École du Barreau in addition of being responsible for the curriculum on insolvency. He is a regular lecturer in Canada and the United States regarding subjects related to insolvency and credit with such organisation as the Canadian Institute, Insight, CAIRP, Profil Credit, FCIB, Equifax and NACM. He is member of a number of organisations such as Insol International, Turnaround Management Association and Canadian Foundation of Insolvency. He was member of one of the jury assisting the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy in issuing trustee licences.

He is member of a number of charitable organisations such as the board of Collège Laval, the executive committee of the Fondation du Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, the Board of directors of the Alpine Canada Foundation and he sits on the Advising Board of NACM-Canada (National Association of Credit Management), the most important association of its kind in the world. He also acts as legal counsel for NACM's Pharma Group consisting of representatives of all major pharmaceutical corporations in Canada.

As a senior partner at BCF, he has numerous duties such as coordinator of the restructuring and insolvency multidisciplinary group and is secretary of the firm's Board of directors. He is recognized as one of the "40 under 40" of the international elite in insolvency by the Global Restructuring and Insolvency Review and received a Leasdership Prize in 2005 by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, as an acknowledgement for his social involvement.
