Jonathan specialises in intellectual property, both commercial and contentious, and related media work. His practice centres around advising a wide range of clients - from large media groups to individuals - as to developing, exploiting and protecting their rights and brands. He also has expertise in the areas of IT, software, e-commerce and data protection. He has extensive first hand knowledge and experience of the media and entertainment industries, the on-line and telecommunications sectors and particularly the junction between the two (in terms of the distribution of media rights through wired and wireless networks). He has previously been a partner in specialist media and entertainment firms. Prior to that Jonathan had in-house positions at Virgin, AOL and Pearson (latterly as group head of legal affairs). Jonathan is a regular speaker on intellectual property and media issues and a frequent contributor to a number of publications. |
