After graduating from Groningen University and obtaining his LL.M. at the London School of Economics (LSE), Joost Houtman joined the law firm of Ekelmans Den Hollander, working in the Amsterdam and Toronto offices. Admitted to the Bar in 1990, Joost has been with Lexence since 1997, becoming a partner in 1998. He works in the Business Law section, and specialises in company law, corporate law, banking and securities law. He has extensive experience in the areas of mergers, takeovers, leases and IT.
