Jan Hockx

Jan W.A. Hockx graduated in Tax Law and, cum laude, in Notarial Law at Leiden University. Jan began his career as a junior civil-law notary at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Rotterdam, where he worked in the Real Estate section. He joined Lexence?s Real Estate section in 1999, specialising in the project development of commercial real estate, the redevelopment of city centres and shopping centres, complex divisions in apartment rights, issues regarding the ownership of integrated underground and above-ground construction, and investment activities. His expertise also includes issues regarding turnover tax and transfer tax with respect to both existing real estate and new development.

Jan is the author of the book The Purchase and transfer of real estate, published by SDU Uitgevers in the Autumn of 2003.
