René Rietbroek has practised notarial law since 1968. After working for various civil-law notaries in Leiden and Noordwijk, René joined Westbroek Notarissen (currently De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek), working in their Real Estate Section. After spending the next 2 years in the Real Estate section of Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuyn, René joined Lexence?s Real Estate section in 2002. He specialises in the project development of commercial real estate, the redevelopment of city centres and shopping centres, complex divisions in apartment rights, issues regarding the ownership of integrated underground and above-ground construction, and investment activities. His expertise also includes issues regarding turnover tax and transfer tax with respect to both existing real estate and new development.
