Alan Brown is the leader of our Corporate Recovery and Realization Focus Group. His practice covers a broad range of insolvency and restructuring matters, as well as commercial litigation. Mr. Brown has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, receivership, bankruptcy, liquidations, creditors' remedies, fraudulent conveyances and commercial foreclosures. Mr. Brown's clients include debtors, lenders and insolvency professionals, including receivers, trustees in bankruptcy, liquidators and monitors. He has been involved as counsel in most of the major commercial insolvencies in British Columbia, as well as in reorganizations and insolvencies of smaller companies. He also acts in complex issues arising from personal bankruptcies. Mr. Brown is a member, of the Turnaround Managers Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Vancouver Insolvency Discussion Group and the Insolvency Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association. He is a frequent author and lecturer for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia.
