| Julio L. AguirreShareholder Julio L. Aguirre is a member of the corporate division at Fiddler González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. and serves on the Firm's executive committee. He previously served with the Puerto Rico Treasury Department, and joined the Firm to concentrate on the full range of tax law issues, including industrial tax incentives matters. Since 1984, Mr. Aguirre's practice has focused on securities laws, and he regularly advises clients in the areas of public offerings, private placements, industrial revenue and government bonds, notes, and convertible securities. Mr. Aguirre counsels clients on the establishment and syndication of limited partnerships. He has served as bond counsel or underwriter counsel in multi-million dollar CARIFA and AFICA bond issues, and has been very active in a variety of securities and financial transactions in Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean Basin. Mr. Aguirre served in the United States Army, from which he received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Captain. Mr. Aguirre serves as a frequent seminar speaker on securities law issues, matters related to tax incentives laws, and the syndication of limited partnerships. He has participated on the Taxation Committee of the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association.
