Rebeca Caquías Mejías is a senior associate in the real estate, financing and bankruptcy division at Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C.  Her practice principally covers representing unsecured and secured creditors in bankruptcy cases.  Representing creditors in the request for modification or lifting of the automatic stay.

Ms. Caquías Mejías has also advised financial institutions in the preparation and negotiation of loan documentation and security arrangements.  In addition, she has advised landlords and tenants in the negotiations of lease agreements.

Ms. Caquías Mejías participated as a lecturer in seminar ?Fundamentals of Bankruptcy and the UCC of Puerto Rico? on April 27, 2007 offered by the National Business Institute.

 
Ms. Caquías served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review from 2000-2001.
