| Pedro J. Manzano-YatesShareholder Pedro J. Manzano-Yates is a shareholder in the labor and employment law division of Fiddler González & Rodríguez, PSC. He is admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar as of 1991. He is also admitted to practice the United States District Court for the District of Puerto rico, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Manzano received his Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, where he also served as Associate Editor of the Law Review in 1989. Mr. Manzano also holds a P.M.B.A. in management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. From 1990 to 1991 he served as law clerk for Justice Antonnio S. Negrón-García, Supreme Court of Puerto Rico.Mr. Manzano's practice concentrates on employment discrimination, wrongful termination and equal employment cases, whistleblower claims, wage and hour claims, and other related labor and employment matters. He has a strong background and experience in federal trial and appellate practice. His practice also includes consulting and counseling in matters related to the management of human resources. He has been a frequent speaker at numerous professional and industry-specific seminars and conferences on a wide array of employment-related topics, including discrimination, sexual harassment, damages, and more recently the whistleblower provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.He is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association, the Federal ar Association, the American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section, Defense Research Institute, Society for Human Resources Mnagement (National and PR Chapter), and the Academy of Management. Mr. Manzano also serves as a Judge (ad hoorem) in the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee Court of Appeals and Sports Arbitration.Among others, Mr. Manzano represented management in the following cases: Ronda-Pérez v.
