| Eduardo M. Negrón-NavasShareholder Eduardo M. Negrón-Navas is a member of the Corporate Department and is in charge of the environmental practice group of Fiddler González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. He began as a general practitioner with active participation in litigation, corporate, administrative and real estate law. Mr. Negrón-Navas has been active in the area of environmental law since 1978 when he began to develop the firm's environmental law practice. His practice extends to all areas of federal and state environmental regulation. He has extensive expertise counseling and negotiating as to matters of regulatory compliance and environmental concerns in corporate transactions, including the development and transfer of land and business operations. He has in depth familiarity with the relevant government agencies and regularly participates in the legislative and regulatory process. He represents clients before the state and federal courts and agencies in the areas of hazardous waste, air and water pollution, environmental permitting and new facilities siting. Mr. Negrón-Navas serves as environmental counsel to corporate clients, industrial firms, real estate developers, government entities, and lenders and financial institutions. He represents a large number of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, electronics, food processing, brewing, rum distilling, petroleum, energy, and waste management. Mr. Negrón-Navas is the Editor-in-Chief of the Puerto Rico Environmental Law Handbook, published by Government Institutes, Inc., the Guidelines for the Compliance with Environmental Law in Puerto Rico, published by the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association, and of eNVIRO NeWS, an electronic newsletter published by the Firm. He has lectured on state and federal environmental laws and regulations to the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association, the Puerto Rico Bankers Association, the Chemical Institute of the College of Engineers and Surveyors, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers, and the Pharmaceutical Industry Association.
