| Héctor R. RamosStaff Héctor R. Ramos is a staff member in the corporate division at Fiddler González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. in charge of the government relations practice. Until he joined FGR, Mr. Ramos was, during thirteen years, the Senior Vice-President for Corporate Affairs (SVPCA) for Triple-S Management Corporation, the largest insurance company holding in Puerto Rico. As SVPCA, Mr. Ramos reported to the CEO and to the Chairman of the Board, supervised all legal matters, advised the Board and Management on corporate governance and other responsibilities, supervised the strategic planning process and the development and compliance with corporate policies. Mr. Ramos also managed all government and legislative affairs for the Triple-S Group. Before working for Triple-S Management, he worked in Washington, D.C. as Senior Attorney for the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) where he analyzed and drafted regulation and opinions as well as policy statements, testimony and comments on legislative proposals. Mr. Ramos also served as Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. In Puerto Rico, he served as Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs, a cabinet position with quasi-legislative and quasi-judicial authority dealing with trade practices and consumer protection. As Secretary, Mr. Ramos spearheaded and implemented a major decentralization of authority and deregulation of price controls and interest rates. Before serving in government, Mr. Ramos practiced law in the business and real estate areas. Bar Professional & Civic Affiliations: Puerto Rico Bar Association.
