| Luis L. Torres-MarreroShareholder Luis L. Torres-Marrero is shareholder in the corporate division of Fiddler González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. Mr. Torres-Marrero is also a Certified Public Accountant. Before joining the Firm, he was the Legal Advisor of the Secretary of the Treasury, Assistant Secretary of Legal Affairs, Assistant Secretary of Administrative Appeals and Administrative Judge of the Puerto Rico Treasury Department. Mr. Torres-Marrero also practiced with KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP as a senior tax specialist. He dedicates his practice to matters involving corporate organizations and reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, special partnerships, corporation of individuals, e-commerce taxation, sales taxes, corporate income, excise, property and municipal license taxes, as well as other federal and local tax matters. Mr. Torres-Marrero has been a lecturer on tax law at various seminars and conferences and has participated in the drafting of laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, including the drafting of the 2006 sales tax legislation.
