- Jon currently dedicates the majority of his practice to assisting physicians both in Alberta and the Northwest Territories - his health law practice covers policy, legislation, contractual and litigation issues
- Prior to earning his bachelor of laws degree, Jon obtained a bachelor of arts from the University of Alberta (1977)
- Jon completed his master of laws degree from McGill University in 1986, with graduate work related to constitutional and human rights issues
- Jon is the Chair of the McLennan Ross Health Law Practice Group
Representative work - Has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and before the Federal Court as well as the Supreme Court of Canada
- Has appeared before various municipal panels and boards throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories
- Provided advice on procedure to the Yellowknife Development Appeal Board
- Has advised various municipalities in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut on issues relating to bylaws, assessments, and other related issues
