- Prior to earning his bachelor of laws degree, Bill graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelor of commerce with distinction (Dean's List four consecutive years)
Representative work - Extensive international practice involving corporate, commercial and securities law (public and private placements, related offerings, compliance work and going private transactions), corporate takeovers, acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, franchising and debt and equity financing
- Has acted as general corporate and commercial counsel to a range of small, medium and large corporate clients
- Founding Chair, the Alberta Foundation for Environmental Excellence and the Emerald Awards
- Active as a director and corporate secretary to various public and private entities
- Active as a trustee of several trusts
- Community involvement: Member, Royal Mayfair Golf Club; Member, Royal Glenora Club
