- Graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelor of arts with distinction and first class honours in 1978 before going on to obtain her law degree
Representative work - Counsel for the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association plus individual nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and pharmacists
- Has acted on behalf of the Children's Guardian and the Director of Maintenance Enforcement
- Active member of the Canadian Bar Association's Health, Wills & Trusts and Family subsections
- Has considerable experience as a writer and speaker and is often called upon to make presentations for the legal community and other community organizations, including the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)
