Practice profile - Partner with the firm practising commercial litigation, labour and employment law, and insurance law, with an emphasis on oil and gas issues
- Clients include participants in the oil and gas industry and insurers of all types
Representative work - Assists employers in drafting and implementing workplace policies, negotiating service and employment contracts, and defending employers' positions in wrongful dismissal actions and human rights claims
- Counsels insurers and oil and gas industry participants on the allocation of risk pursuant to the CAODC Standard Day Work Contract for drilling rig providers, and directly to insurers on the issue of insurance coverage in various loss situations
- Represents oil and gas companies in contractual disputes before all levels of court in Alberta, and regulatory tribunals
- A strong advocate of alternative dispute resolution, Sean has successfully represented clients in both judicial and private mediation
