Mr Bas Westerhout read Law at Leiden University and started his career as an attorney in 1989. Until 1996, Bas worked at Trenité van Doorne, both in Amsterdam and in The Hague. In 1996 he was one of the founders of Kupperman Van der Wiel. Bas has been a partner at Lexence since 2005. His expertise includes individual and collective labour agreements, individual and collective dismissals, social plans, employee participation, management agreements, board regulations and domestic and foreign secondments. Bas frequently provides legal advice on reorganisation projects. In addition, he is widely experienced as an adviser in conflicts involving directors and officers. He co-authored the reference book on flexible employment contracts and part-time employment ?Praktijkboek Flexibele Arbeidscontracten en Deeltijdarbeid?.
