Dawn E. Alderucci is an Associate in the Litigation Department and focuses her practice in the areas of professional liability and healthcare and human service law. Her professional liability defense practice focuses on accountants, physicians, and dentists at all stages of pending and potential litigation. Her healthcare and human service practice focuses on representation of healthcare facilities and other providers before the State of Connecticut Office of Health Care Access and Department of Health. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Alderucci served as a Legislative Advisor to the Office of the Probate Court Administrator in West Hartford, Connecticut. She assisted in managing legislative activities of the Probate Court Administrator by monitoring, evaluating and assessing complex legislative issues. She also represented the Administrator at hearings, prepared and delivered testimony, drafted legislation and other related materials. She assisted in the development and management of the social services aspects of the children's and mental health matters in probate courts. She also worked as a certified legal intern for the Superior Court, G.A. # 7 in Meriden, Connecticut assisting Assistant State's Attorney James Turcotte. Ms. Alderucci also worked as an Executive Legislative Aide to Senate Republican Leader Louis C. DeLuca and Senator M. Adela Eads from 1999 - 2002. During that time, she served as the Political Action Committee Treasurer for the Senate Republican Leadership Committee. Ms. Alderucci is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. She received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law, Hamden, Connecticut and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut.
