Professional experience : - Advising foreign investors on the advantages and disadvantages of various investment vehicles in China including equity and cooperative joint ventures
- Preparing feasibility study reports, joint venture contracts, articles of association and other documents relating to the establishment of equity or cooperative joint ventures
- Representing clients in their acquisition of equity interest in joint ventures
- Advising clients generally on doing business in China on issues such as setting up of representative office, employment of expatriates and local staff, management and control, settlement of disputes
- Advising banks in Hong Kong on lending to borrowers who provide PRC properties or plant and machinery in China as security
- Preparing loan agreement, mortgage contract of PRC properties, guarantee, and other related documents
- Preparing documentation relating to the sale and purchase and mortgage of PRC properties
