Michael S. Horowitz

Michael is a partner in our Commercial Leasing Group. His practice focuses primarily on commercial leasing transactions, including drafting and negotiating retail, office and industrial leases and ancillary documentation for both landlords and tenants. Michael also acts for individuals and corporations on real estate transactions and various commercial matters.

Michael is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has participated as a member of the Program Planning Committee for the annual ICSC Canadian Law Conference in Toronto, Ontario. Michael has also acted as a moderator, panelist and co-chair of the breakfast roundtables at the ICSC Canadian Law Conference. He has participated as a panellist in Osgoode Hall Law School's continuing legal education seminar "Negotiating and Drafting the Commercial Lease" and seminars presented by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. In February 2005, he presented a paper on "Restaurant Leases: Special Clauses and Issues" at the Law Society of Upper Canada?s Six-Minute Commercial Leasing Lawyer program.
