| SJ Thema was on the legal team that was part of the Transaction Advisory Consortium to the South African Department of Minerals and Energy on the Independent Power Purchase Project (NewGen Project). He was also part of the legal team advising the Black Economic Empowerment partner to the Consortium that has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link Project. SJ has done various courses in insurance and has worked with some of the country?s leading insurance companies. He also handled matters on behalf of the Attorney Fidelity Fund Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme and Appeal matters for the Health Professions Council of South Africa. He serves on the Audit Committee of Statistics South Africa.
