Founding Partner of the Sao Paulo based law firm, Felsberg e Associados, Felsberg, Pedretti, Mannrich e Aidar (www.felsberg.com.br). The firm was founded in 1970. Author of several books and articles, Thomas Felsberg has made presentations on restructurings in several events in Dublin, Houston, New York, Cancun, Mexico City and Sao Paulo. Before founding Felsberg e Associados in 1970, Mr. Felsberg worked as corporate counsel to Ford do Brasil and lectured in law at the University of Sao Paulo, School of Law. Mr. Felsberg has an extensive international commercial law practice, with significant experience in domestic and cross-border litigation. In addition to transactional experience representing foreign, domestic, multilateral and non-governmental organizations in large-scale commercial contracts and financings, including aircraft finance and leasing, Mr. Felsberg represents clients in judicial and/or extrajudicial restructurings and insolvencies. Some examples include: representation of Singer do Brasil in multi-jurisdictional bankruptcy proceedings, representation of AT&T Latin America in commercial disputes, representation of American Airlines in hundreds of matters, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), IDB and Eximbank in cross-border financings and Project Finance, counsel to large financial institutions in various matters, including the Barramar restructuring, Banco do Estado do Parana S/A - BANESTADO and BANESPA (Privatizations). Mr. Felsberg has an LL.B. from the University of Sao Paulo and an LL.M. from Columbia University.
