A.J. Usher, IV is a partner in Krieg DeVault's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group. Mr. Usher assists clients with patent prosecution, patent opinion work and intellectual property litigation. He has substantial patent litigation experience, as well as experience handling post grant proceedings in front of the Patent and Trademark Office, including both reissue and reexamination proceedings. Mr. Usher received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 1997 from the Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Associate Editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. In 1992, he received an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, and did further graduate work at the University of Michigan and Purdue University. In 1991 he graduated, cum laude, with a B.S. in physics with minors in applied optics and solid state physics/material science from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
