Dr. Hannes Fureder focuses primarily on corporate and business law. He has founded and restructured numerous companies, in particular limited liability companies (the Austrian Gesellschaft mit beschrankter Haftung - GmbH) and corporations (the Austrian Aktiengesellschaft - AG) producing i.e. stainless steel cookware, cosmetics, lingerie and communications and positioning systems. . Fureder has also concluded loan agreements for and structured the refinancing of companies producing i.e. air conditioning systems, ABS brakes, and an internationally renowned producer of fittings. He has successfully concluded and advised on a steadily growing number of mergers and acquisitions in such diverse industries as cable and satellite TV networks, wholesale of electric and electronic goods, cable production plants, semi conductors, mineral water, packaging materials and fire extinguisher production and servicing, to name but a few. The various board memberships, chair and vice chair positions, i.e. within the hard metal industry, agricultural seed development and growing and business management and holding companies, which Dr. Fureder has held enable him to approach these national and international transactions with hands on business experience. His practice also incorporates labour law, in particular advising employers such as major international airlines and airport ground services on labour policy. Dr. Fureder has also held several seminars and presentations on labour related topics for executives. An important part of his practice is also dedicated to distributorships (1998, Distributorships in Europe) as well as agency contracts and he has counseled airport ground services and travel agencies on matters of trade licensing. In addition, Dr. Fureder has founded numerous non profit organizations and actively supports several non-profit organizations, such as WdF-Economic Forum of Top Managers and a golf club and serves as President (2002-2003) of the Rotary Club Wien Graben.
