Mariana Posse is one of the founding partners of Posse, Herrera & Ruiz and she leads the Financial Law and Telecommunications Departments. She received from Universidad Javeriana a J.D. in 1981 and a Graduate Degree in Insurance Law in 1984. 

Ms. Posse has counseled multilateral credit agencies and leading American and European commercial banks in the financing of major economic conglomerates in

Colombia, in relation to their business in the energy, beverage, cement, cellular telephony, textile, financial and chemical industries. 
 
For the past 10 years, Ms. Posse has acted as local counsel for several foreign and local banks and local companies in the most important debt restructuring deals in

Colombia. This included structuring, drafting and negotiating loan agreements and securities. Recently, Ms. Posse has participated in the design of derivatives and structured products for financial institutions and institutional investors. She has dealt with many operations in capital markets, particularly bond and securities issuance. 
 
In recent years, Ms. Posse has been involved in telecommunication projects, providing advice on financial and regulatory matters.

Latin America.  
 
Ms. Posse is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Bar Association of the Universidad Javeriana. Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English.
