| Ernesto Rizo Pallais graduated as a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia in 1997. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 2001-2002. He received the title of Master of Laws (LLM) in banking and financial regulation from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) in 2002. Mr. Rizo has developed a private practice in both the private and public sectors. As part of the legal team of Nicaragua's Ministry of the Economy, he participated in developing the Investments Chapter of the Free Trade Agreement with Chile (1999-2000). He was also a associate of the Hueck, Manzanares, Ortega & Sánchez Law Firm. From 2000-2003, he was a member of the legal team of the Central Bank of Nicaragua. Since 2003, he has been the legal advisor to the Nicaraguan Stock Exchange, and the Nicaraguan Central Depository. He has been a partner of Núñez, Rizo, Zambrana & Argüello since 2006. Ernesto Rizo Pallais' practice specializes on capital markets, bank regulation, structuring commercial transactions, and credit operations. In addition, he practices general corporate law and investment regulation. Since 2005, Mr. Rizo has taught commercial law at Universidad Centroamericana in Managua. He has also lectured on capital markets and securities regulation at different specialized seminars. Mr. Rizo has been a licensed attorney and notary in Nicaragua since 2000.
