| Rolando Zambrana received a bachelor's degree in law (with honors) from Universidad Centroamericana (Managua, Nicaragua) in 1997. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 2001-2002, and took part in the Orientation in USA Law Program offered by the University of California at Davis, in 2001. He obtained a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) with a concentration in commercial and financial law from Duke University (Durham, North Carolina) in 2002. From 1996-1999, Mr. Zambrana was Law Clerk for the Sixth Civil District Court of Managua. He was an associate the Law Firm of Taboada & Asociados since 1999, until he joined the firm of Núñez, Rizo, Zambrana & Argüello in 2006. Rolando Zambrana has developed a professional law practice in different legal arenas, with a special emphasis on structuring domestic and international credit operations, advising cross border securitization, foreign investment, negotiating franchising, licensing and distributorship agreements. He has also provided legal advice to banks and financial institutions on banking law, securities regulation, and corporate law, and was a member of the Legal Committee of the Association of Private Banks of Nicaragua from 2004 to 2006. Mr. Zambrana has conducted civil, commercial, and unfair competition litigation, as well as commercial arbitration. Rolando Zambrana was an instructor on civil procedure and constitutional law for the Center for Constitutional Rights in Managua from 1996 until 2000. Since 2002, he has taught civil procedure, commercial law and banking law for various undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Law and the School of Economics and Business Administration at the Universidad Centroamericana in Managua. Mr. Zambrana was licensed to practice law in Nicaragua in 1997. He has also been a notary public since 1998. Languages: Spanish, English and French. |
