Leonardo was born on October 20th of 1948, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He obtained his Law degree in the Law Faculty of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras (1971). In 1973, he obtained the Notary Public Exequatur from the Supreme Court of Justice. That same year, he attended University of Westminster in the Polytechnic of Central London, England, where he received a course of Business Administration. In 1974, he obtained a Master Degree in Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC, United States of America. Since then, he is the head of the intellectual property of prestigious Bufete Casco, which is the largest IP law firm in Honduras and was founded by his grandfather in 1906. He is a member of the Board of Directors of banks, charitable foundations and other non-profit organizations. He is also the Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom in Honduras since 2004. He is registered before the American Embassy as an authorized Notary Public.
