Joseph M. Dougherty

Joseph Dougherty is a member of the Firm's Government Relations and Health Law Practices. He represents the interests of a variety of clients before the Legislature and Executive Branch with a focus in health care.

Prior to joining Hinman Straub, Mr. Dougherty was a legal intern at the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) in their Departmet of Managed Care and participated in a clinical legal studies program within the Department of Health's Bureau of Medicaid Fraud.

While enrolled at Albany Law School, Mr. Dougherty was the secretary of the International Law Society and was a quarterfinalist in the Karen McGovern Senior Prize Trials and Gabrielli Apellate Advocacy Moot Court competitons. Mr. Dougherty is also a member of the Albany Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association.
