Teresa J. Dumire is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for both the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia, as well as the Supreme Court of Appeals for West Virginia. She is a member of the American Bar Association and its Litigation and Tort and Insurance Practice Groups. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, Inc., the Defense Trial Counsel of WV, Inc. and, the Monongalia County Bar Association.

In 1996, Ms. Dumire received her bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science from West Virginia University, graduating summa cum laude, as an Honors Graduate, and became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1999, she received her J.D. degree from WVU College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Dumire was a member of the Moot Court Board from 1998 to 1999.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Dumire served for two years as Law Clerk to Circuit Judges Robert B. Stone and Russell M. Clawges of Monongalia County, West Virginia.As a member of the West Virginia State Bar, she serves on the Board of Governors representing Monongalia and Marion counties. She currently serves as chairwoman of the Public Relations Subcommittee of the Public Information Committee. Ms. Dumire is also a member of the Mentoring and Networking Committee and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Additionally, as a member of the Monongalia County Bar Association, she coordinates the Law Day activities with various elementary schools throughout Monongalia County each year.

As experienced trial attorney, her practice consists of all areas of civil defense litigation, including alternate dispute resolution, insurance, malpractice, employment law, and personal injury. Ms. Dumire teachs Pre-Trial Litigation at the West Virginia University, College of Law. She also has taught Expert Testimony in the Department of Forensic and Investigative Science.
