| Jason R. Jones is an associate in Stradley Ronon's Business Law Department residing in the firm's Philadelphia office. His practice concentration includes mergers and acquisitions, compliance with federal and state securities laws, dissolution of corporations, contracts and general corporate matters. Mr. Jones represents both large and small companies in business matters. Examples of prominent matters which Mr. Jones has handled include: - Representation of a large, privately held publisher in connection with the spin-off of certain internet-related assets into a newly formed entity and private equity investment therein.
- Representation of an equity fund in connection with the acquisition of a business involved in the collection and recycling of yard waste and the financing thereof.
- Representation of a publicly-held company in connection with the registration of certain of its securities with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Representation of a company in connection with the acquisition of a government contractor.
- Representation of one of the largest distributors of veterinary products in the United States in connection with the sale of the company's stock.
- Representation of the owner of certain assisted living and continuing care facilities in connection with the sale of substantially all of the assets of such facilities.
- Representation of an estate in connection with the sale of its interest in a complex series of family businesses to other existing shareholders of such businesses.
Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Mr. Jones practiced as a certified public accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Dorwart, Andrew & Co., Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
