| Ph.D., Patent Agent Janique Forget has obtained her B.Sc. in biochemistry and her Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Montreal. Her graduate studies were aimed at the molecular characterization of the human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1). From 1998 to 2000 she managed the molecular biology and assay development team at Biochem Vaccines Inc. where her expertise was made at contribution for the development of new influenza virus vaccines. In 2000 she collaborated on an immunotherapy project for prostate cancer financed by the Canadian Network for Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics. She joined BCF's team in April 2001 as a patent agent trainee. Janique has been a registered Canadian patent agent since March 2005. She is concentrating her practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and chemistry for Canadian and foreign practice. Janique collaborates in the writing and teaching of a course for graduate students of the University of Sherbooke on research protection and valorization of knowledge issued from life sciences. Janique has also organized and teaches a specialized training session on patent search for the Ministère du Développement économique et régional et de la Recherche for the Québec government. |
