Ph.D., Technical Consultant - Patents
Tanya Girard obtained her B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University.
Her Ph.D. work was performed in an important Immunology laboratory in Montreal and concentrated on the molecular, structural and functional characterization of molecules involved in immune response initiation. During her thesis, Tanya established international collaborations with academic and corporate partners. Furthermore, she has many years of experience as a medical and scientific translator, editor and writer.
In the summer of 2006, she was selected by Réseau InterVal to participate in their technology transfer and commercialization program where she received substantial training in intellectual property management, technology transfer, financing and commercialization of innovation.
In September 2006, Tanya joined the intellectual property team at BCF. |
