Jay Shin represents both Korean clients doing business in Canada and Canadian clients doing business in Canada and Korea. His practice involves corporate, commercial, banking and real estate transactions, both domestic and international. He is the head of the Asian Practice Group.

Prior to rejoining Boughton in 2001, Mr. Shin worked as Foreign Legal Counsel with a major international law firm in Seoul, Korea, and as an Assistant Professor of the Graduate School of International Area Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, teaching public international law, commercial arbitration, negotiations and business and law.

Professional and Other Activities
Mr. Shin is a director and secretary of Canada Korea Business Association, and the treasurer of the Banking Law Section of the Canadian Bar Assocation (British Columbia Branch)
