Some of the matters on which she has assisted clients include:

• Obtaining over $4 million in tax credits and business relocation incentives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to induce the investment advisory arm of a prominent national insurance company to relocate its business headquarters to the Philadelphia area.
• Counseling a U.S.-based investment advisory firm on regulatory, registration and compliance issues in connection with its acquisition of a U.K.-based asset management firm with over $85 billion under management.
• Assisting a U.S.-based investment adviser in its acquisition, investment advisory and compliance issues related to its acquisition of a wrap platform adviser subsidiary of a French insurance company.
• Forming, registering and providing ongoing assistance for multiple investment advisers and sub-advisers for a large mutual fund complex with over $30 billion in assets under management in the U.S. and over $120 billion worldwide.
• Providing ongoing advice to private investment companies on formation, regulatory, compliance and solicitation matters; and
• Ongoing regulatory, compliance and marketing advice to advisers that simultaneously manage both registered and unregistered funds.

Ms. Nugent serves as an ambassador on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's crisis management team to prevent relocation to and corporate closures or business relocations and to encourage business development in Pennsylvania. She also Chairs the Board of the Bancroft Neurohealth Foundation and the Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Ms. Nugent served as in-house counsel to Pilgrim Baxter & Associates and as vice president and assistant secretary to SEI Investments. She previously was a member of the Business and Finance Group of Drinker Biddle & Reath, and prior to practicing law, for over a decade, held various management positions at Delaware Investments in client relations, operations and administration.
