Craig M. Kay is a member of the firm's Management Committee and Commercial Practice Group. He specializes in federal and state taxation and estate and business planning. Mr. Kay graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Richmond in 1985, and received his J.D. degree from West Virginia University College of Law, as well as the Thomas N. Chambers Award in Taxation, in 1988. He also received an LL.M. degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1991. Mr. Kay served as law clerk for two years to the Hon. Charles H. Haden II, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia prior to entering private practice. He is a member of the Practitioners Communications Committee of the Internal Revenue Service for the Virginia-West Virginia District, and has been named as one of The Best Lawyers In America since 1999 in the area of Trusts and Estates. He was admitted to practice in West Virginia in 1988. Mr. Kay is a board member for Fund for the Arts and a trustee of the CRC Foundation and the Seelinger Family Foundation. |
