Rodney Hipp practices primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, and Tax Exempt Organizations. His Estate Planning practice extends from living wills, durable powers of attorney, and simple wills to marital (QTIP)- non marital (Family) trust plans for married couples and more sophisticated planning for larger estates involving family limited partnerships, irrevocable trusts, life insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, grantor-retained annuity trusts (GRAT's) and charitable lead and remainder trusts. Mr. Hipp's practice in the areas of Probate and Trust Administration includes the administration of decedent probate estates, conservatorships and guardianships, administration and settlement of living trusts following the death of the creator of the trust, preparation of income tax returns for decedent's probate estates and trusts, preparation of disclaimers, family settlement agreements, will contests, and trust construction and trust reformation suits. Mr. Hipp also counsels tax exempt organizations, both private foundations and public charities, applies for recognition of tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service, advises tax exempt organizations concerning the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code to maintain a tax exempt status and prepares annual tax returns for tax exempt organizations (Form 990-PF or Form 990). He is a frequent guest on the popular radio show "Money Line" where he comments on estate planning and tax issues.
