Manuel A. Garcia-Linares serves as the firm's Managing Shareholder.  A member of the firm since 1993, Mr. Garcia Linares concentrates in commercial and class action litigation and corporate and transactional matters.  Mr. Garcia-Linares also handles inland marine ("cargo claims") defense matters for the firm.   

Mr. Garcia-Linares was a judicial intern to United States District Court Judge George Arceneaux, Jr., E. D. Louisiana and a law clerk to the Honorable Juan Ramirez, Jr., 11th Judicial Circuit (currently at the Third District Court of Appeals). 

Mr. Garcia-Linares graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami and received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School.  While at the University of Miami, he served as the vice president of administration of Alpha Kappa Psi and was a member of the varsity crew team.  While at Tulane, he was an associate editor of The Tulane Law Review, a member of La Alianza Del Derecho, and a volunteer for the Internal Revenue Services? Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. 

Mr. Garcia-Linares is a Vice President of the Cuban American Bar Association (Board of Directors, 2002, 2005  to present, Treasurer 2002), the American Bar Association, and Dade County Bar Association. 

He also holds a Certified Public Accountant license from the State of Florida.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member and Past President of the Cuban American Certified Public Accountants Association, Inc. (President, 2000-2001).

Mr. Garcia-Linares is active in his community serving on the City of Coral Gables Retirement Board (Chariman, 2005-2006) and City of Coral Gables Parknership Committee.  He was Vice President of the St. Theresa School Board and a member of the Belen Jesuit Preparatory School Board Leadership Development Group.  He is one of the Belen Alumni Association Class Delegates for his class.

Mr. Garcia-Linares has lectured and written articles on accounting malpractice and document retention policies.        

Mr. Garcia-Linares is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

While in law school, Mr. Garcia-Linares received the David L. Herman Award and the American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Profession, was made a member of the Tulane Chapter of the Order of the Coif, and is listed in Who's Who in American Law Schools.  He has also received the Union Planters Bank Young Hispanic Leadership Award for Distinguished Professional Accomplishments and Community Service in 2000 and has been listed in the South Florida Legal Guide for 2001 through 2006 List of South Florida's Top Lawyers.
