Mark A. Romance maintains a trial and appellate practice with the firm concentrating in commercial and complex litigation with significant experience in real estate, real estate broker, trademark and employment related litigation. Mr. Romance, who joined the firm in 1994, is admitted to The Florida Bar, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Romance currently serves on Florida's Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission; The Florida Bar Civil Rules Committee and the St. Thomas University School of Law Board of Advisors. He served as President of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division for 2003-2004; on The Florida Bar Board of Governors from 2002 to 2004; on the Florida Supreme Court Professionalism Commission from 2001 to 2004; on The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors from 1998 to 2004; on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section from 1995 to 1997; and was the American Bar Association FEMA representative for the State of Florida for 1996-1997. He also served as President of the St. Thomas Law School Alumni Association from 1996 to 2000. He served on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section from 1995 to 1997 and was the American Bar Association FEMA representative for the State of Florida for 1996-1997. Mr. Romance has achieved an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating possible regarding legal ability and professional ethics, and Register of Preeminent Attorneys. He was also named to 2005 and 2006 Florida Trend's Legal Elite as one of Florida's top lawyers and to South Florida Legal Guide's 2001 through 2007 List of South Florida's Top Lawyers and was listed in Who's Who in American Law Students, 1993 edition. Mr. Romance received a Bachelor of Arts in Literature in English from George Washington University in 1990 and earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1994. He graduated first in his law school class and was Editor-in-Chief of The St. Thomas Law Review.
