James H. McConomy is Of Counsel to Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP. Mr. McConomy practices in a wide range of commercial litigation including securities transactions, fraud, shareholder actions, corporate governance, banking litigation, and public finance disputes.  Additionally, Mr. McConomy has served as an expert witness in a number of professional malpractice cases.

Prior to joining Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, Mr. McConomy was associated with the Pittsburgh firms of Titus & McConomy LLP and Reed Smith Shaw & McClay, where he served as head of the Litigation Group.  Mr. McConomy is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He also regularly serves as a panelist for the American Arbitration Association and a mediator and arbitrator for the U.S. District Court.

Mr. McConomy has been an instructor in courses presented by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and has addressed the American Bar Association and the Law Society of British Columbia on issues of professional responsibility.  His biography appears in Who's Who in America and Who?s Who in American Law.

Mr. McConomy received his A.B., cum laude, from Harvard College and earned his L.L.B. from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania.
