Adam Laser is a principal in the firm's Real Estate Group. He represents clients in all manner of real estate transactions, including acquisition and disposition of commercial, residential and industrial property; mortgage and mezzanine financing; workouts and restructurings, negotiating and closing transactions and lease negotiations and drafting. In addition, Mr. Laser has extensive experience working with institutional lenders on transactions as they relate to assisted living facilities; independent care facilities, skilled nursing facilities and hotel financing. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Laser worked on Capitol Hill and directed the Illinois and Indiana field operations for the Midwest office of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a political grass roots organization. Mr. Laser is admitted to practice in Illinois. He received his law degree in 1997 from Northwestern University and his B.A. in political science in 1991 from Northwestern University. Represented an institutional lender in a $46 million loan involving assisted six living facilities. Represented an institutional lender in a $36 million acquisition loan to a REIT involving five hotels in three different states. Represented a small developer in the acquisition of a vacant parcel of land in a collar county of Chicago. Assisted client with leasing work and development questions. Represented various financial institutions in numerous mortgage loan transactions Represented institutional lenders in numerous mezzanine financing transactions involving different kinds of properties, including apartment buildings and shopping centers. |
