Ligorano, a member of the firm, focuses his practice on immigration and land use law. Mike heads the Norris McLaughlin immigration law practice group. He has extensive experience in processing all types of business and family immigration matters before the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, the U.S. Department of State and other federal agencies and courts, both domestically and abroad. Mike has been designated as the spokesman for immigration law for the New Jersey State Bar Association Foundation. In the area of real estate and land use, Mike assists land developers, construction companies, major corporations and small businesses in the evaluation of undeveloped land and all phases of the development process. Mike also handles zoning-related disputes, denial of land use permits, exclusionary zoning disputes, and other litigation arising out of the planning and zoning processes. He has served as Municipal Attorney and Planning Board Attorney for several local towns. Mike has been actively involved in the local business community, most notably in the Hunterdon County area. He regularly speaks to local business organizations on a variety of immigration and land use topics. He has authored a number of articles on these topics as well. Mike was selected by The Arc of New Jersey as the statewide winner of the Volunteer of the Year Award. He is listed in the current editions of Marquis' Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America andWho's Who in American Law.
