Martin joined the firm in 1984 and has been a principal since 1992. Born in Portland, Oregon, Martin attended the University of Oregon (B.S., 1980) and Willamette University College of Law (J.D., 1984). He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts of Montana as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Martin specializes in commercial, business and general civil litigation, real estate litigation including foreclosures, bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation as well as real estate, commercial transactions and land use. Martin has tried numerous cases to juries in both State and Federal Courts and has argued a number of appeals to the Montana Supreme Court. He is a frequent presenter of statewide legal seminars including Revised Article 9 (National Business Institute 2001), Foreclosures (State Bar of Montana 1999) and Easement Litigation (State Bar of Montana 1995).
